We therefore listen deeply to their aspirations, ideas and concepts. We introduce our considered experiences and imaginings and we work together with the Client’s team to elicit the very best out of every nook, cranny and opportunity.  

The relationship between Golf Architect and Client spans a minimum of three years, often much longer. I’m very proud to say I number the vast majority of our Clients as true friends. Long after the last bulldozers have gone and the course is mature a great bond remains from the days of early dreams, hard graft in all weathers, tough decisions, laughter and occasional tricky moments that all but a few developments experience as rights of passage on the journey from virgin ground to completed course.  

We do our utmost to move the project swiftly and smoothly to completion, providing detailed plans and documentation, immediate decisions and highly professional standards in every aspect of our role.   

A Menu of Excellence : Though GAGA brings a broad range of skills to the team we also know our limitations. We work with local consultants whenever appropriate but over the years we have also established an excellent network of leading specialists throughout the world in key disciplines. Each can be placed at the Client’s disposal, bringing specific expertise into the Client’s team as and when necessary. Over and above our standard consultants in Agronomy and Irrigation Design our network covers the fields of :

We can fit seamlessly into the Client’s team, arrange the entire team from scratch or simply introduce specialists to fill any gaps.   

Signature Designers : GAGA will, if requested or invited, work alongside brand name “Signature” designers to add commercial marketing opportunities for Clients or provide Technical Services to brand name golfers. This can be a highly productive and enjoyable opportunity for all parties. Our one proviso is that the individual truly cares about and is committed to the quality and integrity of the final golf course and understands that it merits his or her focused attention at various key stages of the design and construction processes.

Construction Specialists : a successful project depends upon co-operation of many skilled people. Central to this is the Construction Contractor whom we typically assist the Client to select by tender; the skill and experience of the Contractor’s personnel is key to a smooth project. We work either with their shapers or introduce freelance shapers who have proven their brilliance to us on previous projects.
